That’s why your family is a big deal to us. We want to help you build a Christ centered family – with values and integrity that demonstrate the love of Christ. We strive to present the basic, enduring biblical standards and principles that people of all backgrounds can base their life upon.
We want Sunday to be your child’s favorite day of the week. Every week in our OC Kids experience, the Bible comes to life through our staff, skilled volunteers, technology, and fun activities. In an effort to communicate the love of God, we don’t hold anything back. Kid Nation is offered for children 3 years to 5th grade. Kid Park, Kid Zoo, and Kid City are provided for those 2 weeks to 3 years old.
The Movement experience is a service designed specifically for the youth of our city. Every message offers a living, breathing, passionate invitation to believe better things. Our team of staff, qualified volunteers, and parents engage the students in a spiritual way that’s relevant to them and our ever-changing culture. The Movement meets on Wednesday at 6pm.
The Movement: United
The Movement: United takes place on the first Sunday of each month at 6pm and is geared toward the youth and young adults of the city. Come experience not just a service but a Movement.
The heart behind BRAVE is simple: that women of all ages would find strength in every day life. They would be empowered to “keep their fight” and go through life as a mom, a wife, business woman, or student.
Proverbs 25:31 “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and laughs without fear of the future”
BRAVE meets every 8 weeks, on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 pm. This is a time for all of the women of the church, from teen years to seniors, to gather in corporate worship, encouraging message, and fellowship!
From quarterly men’s breakfast to softball leagues in the summer, hanging out with the guys is more than a good time, it’s bro-time. Oakland Church’s Men’s ministry is built around brotherhood. Every event creates time for men to getaway from the assault of the workweek and recharge with other guys. And yes, at every event we do pray for the Lions to make the playoffs.
